Elizabeth has been practicing law in the State of Texas and Missouri for over 27 years. She grew up in New Braunfels and attended St. Mary’s Law School in San Antonio. She was a former Domestic Violence prosecutor in Bexar County and an Appellate Attorney for Child Support Enforcement and the Department of Social Services with the State of Missouri. She was in private practice for over 25 years with extensive Family Law experience in all areas including divorce, child custody, alienation, domestic violence and adoption. Other areas include personal injury, discrimination, landlord-tenant, real estate, insurance, medical malpractice, construction, contract, education disputes, elder law, wills and estates and appellate law.

In 2010 Elizabeth became a credentialed mediator with training in Basic, Advanced Family, (including Domestic Violence), CPS, Elder Care and Arbitration. Advantage Mediation was opened with her law office in Houston, Texas in 2010, but after returning to New Braunfels, she has opened her office solely concentrating on mediation.

Mediation Fee:

Covers the cost of the mediation session, time spent reviewing pre-mediation submissions, a limited amount of post-mediation follow-up, scheduling, and administration services. Full-day mediation includes lunch for all parties and attorneys. A full-day mediation begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 5:00 PM. A half day mediation of 4 hours may begin from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Any additional hours will be billed at a rate of $175 per hour, divided equally by the parties. (Special arrangements may be made, if necessary, for after-hours scheduling).

Full-Day Mediation Fee:

In-Person Mediation includes snacks & lunch for both parties and the Attorneys.

Additional Fees:

If the mediation is held at the office of Advantage Mediation there are no additional fees. Travel and facility fees will only apply if the mediation is held elsewhere.


ZOOM Meetings are also available for additional fee.

Cancellation Fees:

After mediation is scheduled and notices are sent there will be no cancellation fee if the mediation is cancelled or rescheduled within seven (7) days prior to the scheduled mediation date. Please submit this cancellation in writing. If the mediation is cancelled or rescheduled within the seven (7) day period a fee of $100 per party shall be charged. If the mediation is cancelled within forty-eight (48) hours of the scheduled mediation, barring an unforeseen emergency, a fee of $200 shall be charged to each party. If the mediator must cancel for any reason, the mediation shall be rescheduled and if a future date cannot be agreed upon, any deposits shall be refunded

Payment:

All payments are due three (3) days prior to the scheduled mediation. Additional hours payment are due the day of mediation. Advantage Mediation accepts: Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay & Cash App.
